What are you working on?

Im working on 2 albums at the moment. One of them is pretty exciting to me because it has a who's who of musicians that I really respect and grew up listening to when I was younger. The band is called The Spears, they broke up a few years ago unfortunately. I've produced the last 3 albums for Down By Law which is also a band I loved as a kid. But when I was working on their last record I asked the guitar player (Sam) why his other band The Spears quit, they were the best punk/thrash band out of Fl IMHO. He said pretty much what most bands say when a band splits without animosity towards each other "we all had so many other projects". Then he told me that there was a record they had recorded that had never been mixed and he didn't know what to do about it. So I of course jumped on that, especially after he told who was on it! So for starters The lead singer Chris Barrows who was in an amazing 80/90s punk band called The Pink Lincolns, Drummer Rob Rampy from (DRI), Guitar Sam Williams (Down by Law) Bass Gary Strickland (Hated Youth)! Then Im told about all the guest artists too! Greg Ginn (Black Flag), Rikk Agnew ( Adolescents, Christian Death (1981 – 1982), Social Distortion (1978 – 1979), D.I. (1983 – 1987), Joe Queer (The Queers), Ben Weasel (Screeching Weasel) and a few others that at the moment I'm not sure we are allowed to say because of legal reasons with their record labels. So I'm pretty excited about this one.
